i dont think he meant literally let u win the wildcard. he means the cards are going to continue to play well, so the braves better start winning very quickly

lol yes, i get that case. Just like how my comment was sarcastic in response.

Wow thinking back on it we have had a lot of debilitating injuries this season of length, like a lot of teams but writing it down puts it into perspective

McCann= 1 Month+
Chipper= 3 Weeks+
Moylan= Season
Prado = 1 Month+
Jurrjens = 1 Month+
Hanson= 1 Month+
Medlen= Season
McLouth (LOL)= 3 Months+
Gonzalez= 3 Weeks+
Sherrill= 1 Month+
Beachy= 1 Month+
Heyward= 1 Month +

Heres to hoping for less injuries next year, or at least of less time

Spent so much time doing this in other thread bc bored figured i might as well post it here:

Next years' outlook

C - Brian McCann - Best hitting catcher in Baseball
1B- Freddie Freeman - Good for a .280 average a decent OBP and 20-28 HR a year and would be ROY if no Kimbrel (Leads Rookies in almost every offensive category)
2B- Daniel Uggla- 34+ HR and probably wont have such a bad start
SS- Tyler Pastornicky- Hit over .330 in the upper minors, Defense is questionable
3B- Chipper Jones- Good for .400 obp and 15-20 hr, also veteran leadership
LF- Martin Prado- Career average of over .300, brings versatility as well
CF-Michael Bourn- Led MLB in steals past 4 years, top 5 in hits in NL
RF-Jason Heyward - Down year after injuries, but heating up, had a historic rookie season last year

SP- Tim Hudson, Tommy Hanson, Brandon Beachy, Jair Jurrjens, Kris Medlen, Mike Minor, Randall Delgado, Julio Teheran (any mixture of these, im sure Derek Lowe will be traded and whatever is not used might be traded)

I don't think it is even necessary but I will do bullpen as well

CL- Craig Kimbrel- Leads MLB in k's for a reliever and saves
SU- Jonny Venters - Best LH relief pitcher in baseball
SU-Eric O'Flaherty- Leads MLB in relief ERA, also in top 3 in appearances so not SSS
MRP- Aroldys Vizcaino - 96+ fastball and + Curve, top prospect
MRP- Anthony Varvarro -95+ fastball, good curve and change, better than a K/IP since being called up in July
LOOGY- No idea, could bring George Sherrill back
ROOGY- Peter Moylan - Probably the best Sidearmer in baseball facing righties
Others could include anyone of the starters left out or top relief pitching prospects tearing up the Minors like JJ.Hoover/Steven Marek/Cory Gearrin etc

I knew O'Flaherty was good this year, but i didn't realize how historically good, Minimum 75 appearances, lowest relief ERA in history so far, by about .23 points

Two clubhouse attendants were present. Media-relations director Brad Hainje. Strength coach Phil Falco. And one 13-year veteran, pitcher Tim Hudson.

"Got to squeeze here," Hudson said as the Astros put runners on first and third with one out in the 10th.

Falco said no, not a good idea.

"Expect the unexpected," Hudson replied.

Second later, the room erupted in shouting and glee.

The Astros’ Angel Sanchez laid down a squeeze bunt in front of home plate. Cardinals right-hander Octavio Dotel mishandled his attempt to flip the ball to catcher Yadier Molina. The Astros won, 5-4, and the Braves retained their one-game lead over the Cardinals.

Hudson, who recalled Dotel’s brief stint with the Braves in 2007, knew that the reliever had awkward footwork getting off the mound.

"Tell Fredi (Gonzalez) to call me when he needs some advice," Hudson cracked as he left the ballpark, referring, of course, to his manager.

…"It’s a big challenge right now," Hudson said. "If we step up and get it done and get in the playoffs, the weight of the world is off our shoulders and we go in ready to kick some ass.

"If we don’t get in, if we blow this lead, we didn’t deserve to get in anyway. It’s one of those things – put up or shut up."

Huddy is probably my favorite Braves' personality. I would love to just like, hang out with him for a day.

Pretty much done with the team at this point honestly. September has been terrible for us, and I don't think the playoffs would be any better.

We should just fucking release Lowe at this point and take the hit.. he's a waste of space and no one will take him for anything.

idk a few teams are desperate for a veteran arm, even if we only get a million from them, thats better than just releasing him
