i can tell you right now that bergesen has already probably won the final spot in the rotation.
he is generally a much better pitcher in every aspect over tillman...
he may get rocked occasionally but its better than tillman

Well, after some thinking about it I guess I sort of agree with Bergesen getting sent to AAA.

Tillman may only give 5 or 6 innings but at least he keeps the game close and only gives up a run or two. Bergesen is just such a wild card, it's really 50/50 on what to expect out of him.

I don't like Tillman but I think they made the right decision. Bergesen can go to AAA and it's just a matter of getting in a good groove for a few starts and then he will be ready to take Tillman's spot (if he finds that groove of course). Tillman though, if he got sent down, would likely be down the rest of the year unless Bergesen got hurt or was extremely ineffective.

I don't know, I guess I just think Bergy has a better shot at making the most of being demoted and can fix his problems in a few starts. Once he gets going if Tillman is still only going 5ip giving up 1 or 2 runs maybe you demote him for good and get Bergy back in the rotation.
