I saw the point brought up on a baseball podcast about how Bellinger may be reacting to the Dodgers giving Mookie a massive extension when he hadn't even played a game while they have yet to pay Bellinger who's been the main show for them for the past few years. Watching his demeanor in this game I think there is plenty to that and it is seeming more and more likely he may leave and go somewhere where he gets the contract he wants and gets to be "the guy". Given a straight up choice between keeping him and Seager I think I would prefer Seager, to be honest.
Don’t let your ego get in the way, he has not proven to be worth that kind of money. He slumped all of the second half of last season including playoffs. Mookie has proven time and time again why he’s so good and gets paid for it. Seagar is who I’d rather keep too, but playing the way Bellinger is he isn’t gonna go get some high money contract anywhere. Kid needs to get his head out of his ass and play good ball, not be jealous and bitter.
