Although I obviously hate the Dodgers losing I am happy to see both the Padres have some success and finally change those awful, boring uniforms they’ve used with the navy blue. Just horrible. I feel like this team has a slim chance of actually having an identity in the coming years.

Another quality start for them by their starting pitcher, even if they lose it still is a good sign.

Much better offensive performance, some actual contact hitting, some speed and power.

If Barnes can start producing I’ll be happy.

Inflate that run differential to the tune of +15 over two games lol.

Lots of those losses are close games and they have yet to lose a series all year. That’s very encouraging. The young starters have really been a strength and a conceivable rotation of Buehler/May/Gonsolin/Urias could be pretty solid going forward.

I think seagar in the lineup is a crucial point here, I also think roberts needs to sit belli for a while

I saw the point brought up on a baseball podcast about how Bellinger may be reacting to the Dodgers giving Mookie a massive extension when he hadn't even played a game while they have yet to pay Bellinger who's been the main show for them for the past few years. Watching his demeanor in this game I think there is plenty to that and it is seeming more and more likely he may leave and go somewhere where he gets the contract he wants and gets to be "the guy". Given a straight up choice between keeping him and Seager I think I would prefer Seager, to be honest.
