deGrom looking like Sale

Has a start like this in like 2 years...I'll take it. honestly, what I'm noticing is that the Twins have slowed down the game. deGrom is a pitcher that works quick. theyre taking their time getting in the box and all that. Its throwing deGrom off his rhythm.

Theres a lot to love about the Mets.

I have been arguing with my father that Alonso would be a stud; but not record breaking stud that my father was boasting.

He also said DeGrom would win CY last year which I scoffed at. Good thing I'm eating crow. He also said DeGrom could win CY, and I said Wheeler or Thor could take it. But I would like to be wrong if that's the case.

Dom hitting a double off a LHP has me moist. Lugo went 2 solid innings and Callaway took the memo and gave Alonso, Lagares, Gsellman and Diaz a breather.

Nimmo and Cano hitting is money and we have the 2nd best record.

Wanted to double post and add that if Conforto, Nimmo, McNeil, and Lagares can remain all healthy. Adding Cespedes, and Lowrie to this lineup in the outfield will only get more dangerous.

I don't care what you guys say. But holy moly Vargas is just awful.

He is. I agree to the fullest.

I'm just glad Callaway had the balls to hook Vargas quickly before any more damage could be done.

I want us to go after Kuechel, but at what cost? I want to keep the rotation as is, but Vargas needs to be replaced either by Gsellman or Oswalt.

I mean how much more worse can they be?

Vargas is bad but Keuchel wants too much money and he's injured now. Our luck we pick him up and he gets injured again and were back where we started.

Who do you think should be the 5th starter? We cannot have Vargas anymore on the mound. I'm sorry, but I've given up on him.

I've given up on him and Matz is edgy as anything. Everyone past Degrom is edgy to me at the moment. Its early in the season but I have many years of mets pain in me as we all do.
This team is good at scoring runs but the pitchers can't hold it. Use to be the other way around.
