Grienke has been better then Bumgarner career wise. Last year he just had a good year. Mike leake is pretty legit too.

Id put Grienke and Leake ahead of Bumgarner this year and Greinke over Bumgarner career wise due to having a higher career batting average.

Batting average is nice, but hitting a home run every 5games is more impressive.

Bumgarner with that 30+homerun power.

I thought the question was who was the better hitter not who can hit the most home runs.

Bumgarner .181 avg career vs Greinkes .220 career

Greinke has also been the league longer and been more consistent. Bumgarner was low .100s until the past 2 seasons he has been over .200.

Greinke 5 straight seasons batting over .200 with 2011 he hit .328
Bumgarner working on his second straight season over .200

Bumgarner definitely has more power and is having a better year then Greinke

Career wise id pick Greinke
This season id pick Bumgarner and Leake both giants which is crazy have 2 pitchers with 5 home runs. Easily the best hitting duo as pitchers

Fernando Tatis hit 2 grandslams in the same inning, he's clearly one of the greatest players in history.

Higher average doesn't necessarily mean better hitter.

If I were to take the best hitting pitcher NOW, I'm taking bumgarner.

Mad Bum is averaging a homer every 11.6 AB's.
At age 25, Babe Ruth was averaging a homer every 11.6 AB's as well.

Mad Bum GOAT
