I love Jose Reyes.

06-08 were one of the most heartbreaking years to be a Mets fan in the modern era, and man... Reyes/Wright/Delgado, and Beltran? Who couldn't love that line up? You had like 3 players who could lead off, bat clean up, and drive in runs.

I'm still not giving up on Wright, because hes Captain America for a reason. Yes, spinal stenosis is very serious, but if anyone can beat that injury, only Wright can.

Quote

“My game is a little bit different, for sure, but I still feel like I do my job,” Reyes said. “When you get older, you have to find a way. You know your game is going to change one way or another. That’s the way it is.”

Reyes understands how his contract makes him tough to trade, but he hopes that the Rockies fortunes will improve over the next two seasons and if not, he longs for an opportunity to end his career with a contender, and preferably the Mets. He still makes his home in New York.

“I’d love to — not now, because I have two more years on my deal. But I’d love to finish my career here in New York. I have some great memories here.”

Reyes if you didn't get so enamored joining a team that had absolutely no chance of contention, I'm sure the Mets would've given you a reasonable contract even despite the aging concerns with your injury history, and splits that clearly showed regression.

But lets face it. You expressed their 'love,' for you for money, and ergo, that is what happened.

I would love to bring back Reyes, but only if the Rockies were willing to take on his contract for mid level prospects, or after his contract ends as a utility type of guy. His speed and ability to cause havoc on pitchers have diminished, and his defense is literally in the negatives.

Loved you so much Reyes, but the time has come, and you're no longer apart of our franchises future.

Whenever TC says its not serious. Torn ligament, out for the season lol.

Hopefully Duda really is 'okay.'

Our medical doctors have got to be one of the worst in the entire league..

Yup. Happy for Murphy, too bad he isn't going to be on the Mets next year. Shame.

Murphy is just a great guy, good ball player but just never found himself a position. But it's time, if they want to develop Wilmer then Murphy is stopping him, especially since Flores is MUCH more comfortable at 2nd

Wonder how true the Mets are going to stay to their "innings limit"

Maybe with Noah, but deGrom and Harvey both should be able to pitch a full season.

Yoenis with his first HR as a Met, and a nice insurance run.

deGrom stat line for the night: 7 IP, 2 H, 4 BB, 10 K

Lots of walks for deGrom but he didn't let up a run. ERA is down to 2.03

Building a case for Cy Young?? Does he have a shot
