Why do people think the Angels will be so good? Did they not learn anything from watching them play last year?

I definitely got the A's winning that division.  They're so deep.

Definitely going to be a lot more competitive this year. I'm excited to see how it unfolds.
I see Rangers and Angels fighting for first, I don't think Oakland will be as strong again,
and Seattle could make a good push but I definitely don't see them coming out ahead.
And ofc Houston will still be irrelevant.

Nolan Ryan is on board. Good things will happen with him in the organization. Jeff Luhnow is piecing together the best minor league system in baseball like he did with the St. Louis Cardinals. He put them in a position to be a good ball club year after year. Seems like teams in the AL West are relying on big free agent signings and trades to one up each other. While the Astros are quietly piecing together a lot of fine young players. I can't wait for 2016 and 2017.

In the future they will be a good ball club year after year.
We are doing similar to what you guys are doing. We're just a bit further along. You guys will most likely sign some players in a few years too.
Also, the A's never sign anyone. It's just the Anglols and the Rangers who sign people, and even then the Rangers at least know when to let a player go.

I don't doubt they may be a contender in the next 5 years, but for the '14 season I still see them in the cellar.
