I'm saying having a great farm system is overrated based on the fact that most "top prospects" never amount to shit. And that doing what the Phillies have done, using those POTENTIALLY good players to get proven players when you are in win now mode isn't bad at all.
Most of the talent they've traded away for these proven players have yet to show much. Phillies could of hung onto them, and not be nearly as good as they are now.
