I was thinking you meant the Colt 45 jerseys they are wearing tonight. It's a lot alike that one in the sig. But the regular home jerseys have stripes on it. The Astros have an alternate white jersey that looks the same though. LOL, they've got like 6 different jersey combinations and this year they are wearing every jersey from their past history.

Bagwell from 2004. That was my favorite one. No stripes on it. and the Star on the chest.

Goddamn... Bagwell roided the fuck out rofl... one of my favorite players of all time.. I have some badass cards of him back in the day (that crazy set that had like monsters and shit in the background, I think it was Metal Universe or something)
I have one card where he is hitting an actual rocket rofl and one where it looks like he is made of metal lol

I wonder what Bagwell's rookie card is worth now a days? I've got a halogram card that looks like this.

The next retro jersey Houston is going to wear. I think this one is for the next home series. That one was pretty good. Shooting Star.

4-2 Braves in the 7th. These jerseys have to go if they lose tonight. Bud Selig initially said they couldn't wear them with the gun on them but the MLB front office finally caved and let Houston wear it. Nothing wrong with that Colt 45 pistol. It looks amazing.

I'm still glad the Astros are 3-3 to start the season even though they have lost two games in a row. They left the tying runs on base in the bottom of the 9th during both losses. I felt they played hard all game and didn't give up like they did in many of their 106 losses last year. The Rockies and Braves are two good teams and a .500 home stand isn't bad. But now a tough seven-game road trip is coming up - three in Miami and four in Washington. Playing well on the road is something a young rebuilding team has to aim for in the long run.

Friday: April 13, 2012 - Houston at Miami - 7:10 PM Eastern
Lucas Harrell (1-0, 0.00) versus Ricky Nolasco (1-0, 3.38)

Saturday: April 14, 2012 - Houston at Miami - 7:10 PM Eastern
Bud Norris (0-0, 2.57) versus Carlos Zambrano (0-0, 6.00)

Sunday: April 15, 2012 - Houston at Miami - 1:10 PM Eastern
J.A. Happ (1-0, 4.50) versus Anibal Sanchez (1-0, 2.84)

The Astros have a day off today and start their first road trip of the season on Friday Night. Lucas Harrell earned the win and tossed a shutout during his first start of the season against the Rockies. That kid can pitch well so I hope he keeps it going. I'm excited to see the Miami Marlins' new stadium as I watch all three games on TV. I still haven't seen their ballpark yet.

Marlins win 5-4 in 11 innings off a walk-off double by Sanchez. Sigh, back to under .500 for the Astros (3-4)

It was nice to be over .500 for a couple of days -- first time since July, 29 2009. Back down to reality now. Time to focus on the first overall pick in this year's draft and the move to the American League West next year.

The only encouraging thing is all four losses have been games the Astros were in all the way to the final out. Competing in them, but moral victories don't count. And oh yeah, Brandon Lyon needs to be released. Naturally he got the loss tonight as he will have many this year.

Great young player. Meanwhile in the minor leagues, last year's first-round pick George Springer hits a grand slam. Jonathan Singleton hits two homers and Delino DeShields Jr. is playing a slick second base. Really hope to see all three guys up in the majors this year but that's unlikely. Houston doesn't call up guys until they're 23 years old and Springer is 22, Singleton is 20 and DeShields is 19.

Hopefully the new GM Jeff Luhnow will continue the youth movement. The plan is for the Astros to compete for the AL West by 2016 or 2015. They should be exciting to watch soon enough. Use the 1st overall pick in June's draft on Mark Appel. The future is bright but right now I'm more than frustrated. I don't even want to see Brandon Lyon on the field anymore. He has no business making $5.5 million this season. Thank goodness it's the last year on his contact but release him now (what's the harm?).

Amazing 5-4 Astros win in the second game against the Marlins. Four runs in the top of the 9th. Jose Altuve, Travis Buck, J.D. Martinez and Carlos Lee all came up with some key hits in the ninth. Two Miami Marlin errors also helped, including an easy fly ball that Logan Morrison just dropped for the go-ahead and winning run to score. The Marlins just gave Houston the game but we'll take it.

That was a great comeback win for the Astros. 4-4 and back to .500. It sets up the rubber game on Sunday. While Heath Bell struggles as the Marlins' closer, Brett Myers is 2-for-2 in save opportunities with a 0.00 ERA. He's been rock solid as the new closer so far this year. I didn't think he would get many save chances but so far so good.

The Astros have a chance to get back to over .500. LOL, these chances don't come around often so I hope they win the series against Miami later today.
