In 2008, when he was first draft eligible, he told every body that he would not sign unless he got drafted by his favorite team(the Yankees). He ended up falling to the Yankees and the Yankees drafted him. Yankees were prepared to offer him a record setting bonus but he never even let the Yankees make an offer. Yankees ended up missing their chance to draft guys like Chisenhall, Odorizzi, Montgomery, etc.
