The @Angels are above .500 for the first time since Opening Day 2013:

i know, i posted this... lol
very aware of this. also aware this is the first april we've had a winning record in like 3 years, only 2nd time in 6 years. april has not been kind to us.
once we get our bullpen figured out, mlb is fucked. our SP is legit, our offense is doing shit beyond contemplation. we should literally be like 19-8 if not for our pen. or errors.
but all good, seasons young, we'll hammer shit out. we dont even have josh hamilton yet, and he was raking before he went down. this offense will be as scary as it was on paper a season ago if everyones clicking.

yea if they play over .500 til braun and segura come back ill be shocked.
they are very fortunate, have a good staff, good pen. just need to keep hitting. they got slammed today tho.

angels need to keep hitting, and make that lead large enough for no pressure.

e: i think the halos will sweep these next 2 series. as long as our pens arent too involved. smith as closer is cool, as long as our SP go like 7 innings, watch. our hitting is just en fuego

Grant Green getting called up.

Quote
ANAHEIM -- Angels prospect Grant Green is expected to be called up from Triple-A Salt Lake before Friday's game as the corresponding move for reliever Yoslan Herrera getting optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake, according to a source.

With the move -- not official until Friday -- the Angels would go back to the standard 13 relievers and 12 position players.

And Green is expected to get a fair share of playing time.

The 26-year-old right-handed hitter, acquired from the A's in exchange for Alberto Callaspo last July, was hitting .365/.412/.529 through his first 25 games in the Pacific Coast League and had started each of his last six games in left field.

Green becomes a right-handed-hitting option in left field, while also giving the Angels versatility at second and third base. He could take some at-bats away from struggling left-handed hitters J.B. Shuck (.156/.177/.247) and Raul Ibanez (.157/.231/.313).

On Thursday, left-hander Michael Roth -- designated for assignment Sunday to make room on the 40-man roster for reliever Mike Morin -- cleared waivers and was outrighted to Double-A Arkansas.

I like that move... Shuck has been struggling big time and Ibanez should just come off the bench to pinch hit the majority of the time..

Green put up good numbers in spring and has continued to do so, he's earned his shot.

yea i was disappointed he didnt get a spot on the roster coming out of ST, but i get it, hes still young, they wanted him to play everyday and develop rather than be a bench player like mcdonald and stewart.
green can really do some damage the way this lineup has been producing (like you said, outside of shuck and ibanez). im not giving up on ibanez tho, he had a worse april last year for the M's and look how he finished.

edit: Ibanez hit only .158/.213/.298 last year in march/april. it was may and june mainly where he killed it.
so we'll see, he already has 17 RBIs in april despite not hitting for shit, he only had 5 last year in april.
