Never been so happy for a rain delay. Now there is a great chance Arrieta will be starting on Saturday when I go :)

Keith Law's latest mock draft has us taking Bundy at #4 (which I'm more than happy with) but has us passing on Gerrit Cole. I like Bundy a lot but that might be a mistake to pass on Cole.

Another quick rant, this time about the Sun.

I don't get why all these "Orioles Insiders" keep saying that drafting Bundy or Starling will be a hard sell to the fan base because of the Hobgood pick. I commented on two of the articles that said that explaining to them how fucking stupid it is and they never accept the comment, LOL. The fan base was pissed off about Hobgood because he fucking blew and we all knew he was drafted because he would sign for slot value. He had no business in the top 10 and they drafted him anyways. It had nothing to do with the fact he was a HS player at all. We all were thrilled last year about getting either Taillon or Machado (both HS players) yet they keep bringing it up everytime one of them mentions the draft.

yea i saw that too lol. they are really stupid sometimes...
I'm fine taking a HS player as long as its the best player available at the time (which imo should ALWAYS be taken in baseball)

Schoop is having a breakout kind of season so far. After batting .290 in 62 games last year, most with Bluefield, the right-handed batter is now hitting .327 with eight doubles, three triples, five homers, 22 RBIs and an OPS of .897 in 37 Shorebirds' games.

He has been consistent too, batting .311 with an OPS of .885 in April and .348/.912 in May.

He started the year at third base and moved back to his original position of shortstop when Manny Machado went to the disabled list.

Schoop has made 14 errors already, but has shown a strong arm.

Schoop is becomnig my favorite prospect (besides Machado obviously). He still has work to do with the glove (he was playing third while Machado played SS though)

Not to be a dick but the only reason I agree with is reason #2. Reason #1 (Pie) is ridiculous IMO, he had his chance and we shouldn't move one of the top power hitters in the league so he can have yet another opportunity. Reason #3 just isn't a big deal because he still won't be making a ridiculous amount of money.

Reason #2 makes sense. Although, I'm not sure we would get any type of top prospect for him. IMO they need to decide if they plan on competing for the WS next season before this trade deadline. If the answer is yes, and they plan on getting Fielder or Pujols for 1B + get a good LF they should keep Scott as the DH. If the answer is no they need to try and get a good deal for him this trading deadline.

Bundy, Machado, and Schoop are my 3 favorites.
