Well, if Duke does make it back he is going to be a starter. He already stressed he cannot pitch out of the bullpen and they knew it when they signed him. Bergy would likely go to the pen where I believe he would be dominant.

i know which sucks.
i agree on berg but we shall see.
i wouldnt be surprised if he stays in the rotation though.

Nope. Strained left oblique though ... day-to-day as of now. Probably give him a few days off and hope they caught it early but I expect it to turn out like Hardy (take a few days off, come back and it gets worse, then out for a month).

damn thats unfortunate (or is it really). maybe this will give pie a chance to shine though.

It's going to suck without his defense at 1B, that's for sure. Plus, he was finally starting to hit the ball well and hit with RISP. I hope it's only a 3-4 day off thing and he is fine but with the Orioles luck it's hard to imagine anything less than a stint on the 15 day DL.

I know it is unlikely to happen but I think I would give Snyder or Bell a shot and just keep the team the way it is. Either move everyone up and put Snyder/Bell in the 9 hole or move Hardy up to 3 and drop Snyder/Bell to 9.

I don't know why but I still have faith in Snyder.

i like snyder but i just dont know how much his bat translates into mlb hitting. he is ready defensively though i think
