Tyler Colvin is shit, and on the road he is shit with corn stuck in it. He's nowhere near the player Dexter is, and there's better options at first base.

Giambi gets on base (.433 OBP), and if given regular playing time, he would raise an already good .850 OPS much higher. Giambi plays well at home and on the road. Colvin doesn't. He still has plenty of pop.

I don't know about you, but I would take a guy who works the count and get on base 40+% of the time at home, and away from Coors, over a guy who strikes out a ton, and doesn't get the walks to make up for it. The only thing he is good for is the occasional home run (at home, not on the road mind you). Which Giambi can do as well.

Not that it matters much but:

Nolan Arenado, Josh Rutledge, Edwar Cabrera, Lars Davis, Dan Houston, Nick Schmidt, Ben Paulson, and Coty Woods all made the Texas League All-Star team (AA)

Him and Rutledge should be up in September (could be sooner, but I don't see a reason for it), and will be 3B/2B all of next year

So excite :)

I laugh, I kid, we give the Rockies a hard time but this should be an entertaining series. I remember last time we went to Detroit. George Frazier wouldn't shut up about sneaking into old Tigers' Stadium and looking for ghosts, and Drew Goodman was all like "Yeah, that's great George. 2-1 count to Hawpe and -" "Yeah, we could go ghost hunting! Let's come back tonight!"

Ghost hunting.
