Hopefully we get Upton since he's probably been moved .. but if we don't... why not give Gartrell a chance? He's 27yo and has the most HR's (22) in int league... right handed outfielder... yeah he's hitting only like .260, but that would be like 2nd best on our team.

I like Gartrell as you can see from some of my posts earlier in this thread, but he strikes out a ton and is kind of an all or nothing guy, we got guys like that in Wilken we need someone who can come off the bench and get on base, but if we can't get one of those i say give him a chance

as far as upton is i saw all the tweets and rumors, and it says Phillies and Nationals are pushing the hardest, I just don't see how we match up with the rays as trade partners, as they aren't looking for pitching, although wren does have a way of making trades out of the blue that nobody speculated on, maybe this is the rh of who can play all 3 of positions they were talking about? i would jizz

Good to see Bethancourt starting to adjust to the higher lvl pitching

Quote
Chipper Jones began his rehab with Rome, Evan Gattis hit 2 home runs for the second straight day, Chase Larsson also hit 2 home runs, and Julio Teheran's turn in the rotation was wasted by rain and umpire incompetence.

Gwinnett Braves 0, Norfolk Tides 0, suspended after 1 inning

In a game that never should have been started, Julio Teheran struck out 2 in a scoreless 1st inning before the game was suspended due to torrential downpour. The game will be resumed tomorrow as part of a double header, though Teheran's turn through the rotation was wasted because of the poor decision making by the umpires to start the game in the first place.
