Yankees GM Brian Cashman told Bill Pennington of The New York Times that he negotiated deals in 2008 and 2009 that would have let Kei Igawa return to Japan, but the lefty refused both times. Cashman also said he was prepared to trade Igawa to the Padres in 2007 after San Diego claimed him off waivers, but "ownership was not willing to let him go yet."

I agree, he was actively against signing Soriano, and now look at that scrub.

Sucks when he is in the game, now he's injured.

Time for a new Yankees ERA, in which we make smart decisions, such as perhaps... Going after Ubaldo Jimenez.

Rolf, we need to do something so we can match up against the sox's offense for years to come..

Our offense will be fine, I am more worried about out starting pitchers.

Colon and Garcia won't continue this in the future...

CC is our lone bright ace.

Hughes sucks dick, hopefully he can turn it around.

Burnett is more sporadic than DM's weight on any given day.

Sign Cole Hamels next off season and get Jimenez.
CC + Cole + Jimenez = Rape.

The yankees should bring back nova, trade for a solid but not ace pitcher such as Guthrie/Fister/Kuroda etc.

then if they can get ubaldo they got to pull the trigger if its the right deal.

just an outside fans perspective. Although thats for maximum attempts at winning the WS. im sure they wouldnt do all that.
