Been up since 5 am studying. I just started thinking:
It's really only a matter of time before Reynolds starts making some contact and balls start flying out of the stadium.
Over the weekend he walked 5 times, and struck out 4. So he is seeing the ball well, just not making the contact necessary.
It also is becoming more obvious as time goes by that once the summer hits, all those warning track monster shots he has been hitting are gonna go out. (ok there havent been that many, but still enough of them)
i dunno maybe I am being a tad too optimistic but at least i see some growth and feasibility in Reynolds approach.
The other thing about reynolds is that he seems to be susceptible to the low strike. I havent seen him hit ANY balls lower in the zone. I figured he would gopher a few out of the park by now, but it hasnt been the case.
If i recall, all his HR have been mistake pitches up in the zone.
if he doesnt start hitting the ball well though, i would expect andino to start getting spot starts at 3rd...not much, but enough to annoy me (i like andino , but not as a 3rd basemen)
sum addy pls
