Olt's normal position is third base, but the Rangers have Adrian Beltre there. Olt will also play first and the outfield this spring as a way to increase his value, versatility and chances to make the team.

"I guess I'm going to do everything," Olt said. "Last year, I focused on third base because I knew I was going back to the Minors. This spring, I'll focus on first and the outfield."

It'll be interesting to see how it plays out. Gonna be nice to see more of Olt, maybe he could win a permanent/temporary 1st base or OF spot for the season?

Rangers looking to get a multi-year deal with Murph.
Good decision, I love watching the Murphinator play.

I would wait one more year, just to make sure he is legit.

I think he is a FA after this season, and becoming our every day left fielder this year I'm suspecting they want to get a contract before his price rises.
Murphy has been one of my favorite players to watch and is a great all around guy. David has been a great outfielder and clutch hitter for us, so it will be interesting to see how he holds up playing everyday.

Surprised that the Hamilton comments were never discussed.

Quote
"Texas, especially Dallas, has always been a football town," Hamilton told Dallas' CBS 11. "They're supportive, but they also got a little spoiled at the same time, pretty quickly. There are true baseball fans in Texas, but it's not a true baseball town."

Also, this seems like an appropriate time to resurrect this tweet:

I stopped paying attention to him, I could care less of his opinions.

/e I will admit though, Dallas is filled with a shit ton of fairweather fans.
