When I first saw it I didn't think it was bad at all TBH, With these inflated contracts it's a bargain in the long run.

I think he will throw really well @ AT&T as his home park.

Scouts still like the way he pitched last year even though the numbers were down from 14. Fair deal for the Giants.

The problem is they're paying him to be a number 2 and I don't think he's good enough to be that. AT&T park will help but he's never really shown anything for that much money.

What does that do with Leake's value as he's been better than Samardzija. I think by giving Samardzija that much, they now have to offer Leake more I would imagine.

Bottom line is it's a step in fixing our most glaring problem. Fine by me.

I didn't want him back.. I wanted them to go after Price/Zimmerman and trade for Kimbrel but neither of those happened.

I'm glad they went for the shorter and more dependable alternative in Lackey than what I had saw Samardzija had offers of the past couple days.
