Wouldn't mind swish but not to a long-term, I do like A.J. he's the best of what's left for catchers and soto really is avg at best.

JD know's what he's doing he's not gonna cripple us long-term with a knee-jerk signing just to make something happen.

People in the DFW are freaking out because we haven't made any moves yet, Those same people would rage when those long-term deals for guys on the wrong side of 30 turn south.

20 mil is a lot to pay Swisher in 4 years. The Rangers can afford to spend but we can't afford to eat contracts later on cause we're not an LA team etc.

I could be wrong it could have been 5/60$ but still.

I have 100% confidence in JD he's a big reason we have had so much success, He know's what he's doing.

Where did you get the info on swish? Just curious to see if they added new info on him.

i wonder how much? This fills in the immediate need for a left-handed bat. I guess we get an up-close look at the most hated player in baseball this year.......

Remember when he was just trashing us during our WS runs when he was with FOX?

Oh well, I think its a nice sign and only 1yr deal.

He's been working with a very good pitching staff over there with those Chicago White Sox for many years. I consider him a winning player because he beats you any kind of way he can. He beats you mentally. He beats you physically. So I feel really bad for Pierzynski."

Pierzynski was not pleased with Washington's decision.

"If (Washington) felt that bad, he would have put me on the team,'' Pierzynski said at the time. "He had an opportunity to and he didn't do it. Obviously, he can feel as bad as he wants, but he didn't feel that bad."

Lold this will be a fun year.
