Ridiculous... But it's more a nod to the Royals. You give them any sort of small flicker of hope and they take advantage of it.

Not really just the mets.... Royals have scored 35 runs this postseason from the 8th inning on. The other 9 teams combined have 26. It's a product of hitting off relievers (aka, usually, hitting the fastball well), a never-say-die attitude, good baserunning, and, should starters go that far, hitting them well after they've seen them 3-4 times.

/edit: That's an average of over two runs per game after the 8th inning... unreal

no harvey had this... royals just being royals. doing what they always do.

Not really by choice. They tried to bench him but he threw a fit. Not much you can do with the crowd chanting "We want Harvey!"

I think mets will end up taking it but what a comeback
