yea JJ returning to form is HUGE. Gregg would be fine with me. And Buck probably already knew that, he seems to have been studying the O's for a long time lol. It's almost as if he knew he was comin ghere.

Simon is a wild card too in the bullpen. He can come in and strike out the side or he can walk the bases loaded. Having him in middle relief could be a good thing. I much rather have him in middle relief than Albers that's for sure. Although, Albers did have some crazy good streaks at times.

So far we have Uehara, Gonzalez, JJ, Simon, and one of VandenHurk or Patton in the bullpen. Still have 2 open spots to fill via FA. I'd like to see someone like Gregg or Jenks get signed and a lefty specialist.

Our backend is set IMO with Koi/gonzo/JJ.

Im not worried about swingman/long reliever.

But we really do need to get one of gregg, etc.

WNST is saying we told Lee "nevermind" and Connolly is reporting there is a mutual interested between us and LaRoche ... something tells me we might be pretty close to signing LaRoche at 1B.

Hardy said in his interview with Jen Royle he thinks that we are flying under the radar and will surprise a lot of people this year.

I say we offer him 3 years 24 million (including this year so really just a 2 year extension at 8 million per). That way he is paid, he is happy, and Machado has the next 3 years to get himself ready for the big leagues, and we have a great defensive player that also has some pop in his bat at SS until Machado is ready.

I realized I have totally forgot about Jason Berken in the bullpen. I guess we only need one reliever lol.

C - Wieters
1B - ???
2B - Roberts
3B - Reynolds
SS - Hardy
LF - Pie
CF - Jones
RF - Markakis
DH - Scott
Bench - Tatum, Fox, Harris/Andino, Reimold

Starters - Guthrie, Matusz, Bergesen, Arrieta, Tillman
Relievers - Uehara, Gonzalez, Johnson, Berken, VandenHurk/Patton, Simon, ???

Still need to sign a 1B (Lee or LaRoche please) and a reliever (Gregg, Jenks, Crain, who knows) and then I think we are done making any adjustments to the 2011 roster. Britton can very well steal that 5th spot in Spring Training from Tillman like Hernandez did last year though.

first off, what is this writers obsession with the orioles?
secondly, he is wrong on people not having high expectations. Does he honestly think all orioles fans just sit here and go "oh, another losing season". He should go read the baltimoresun message board or take a trip down pratt street and talk to some fans.
Finally, he is fucking retarded saying we are on a lot of players no trade lists, when actually we are probably near the bottom end on players no trade lists. go look it up.

Maybe this "writer" should get off the orioles nuts.
