That's a fucking shame clippard blows it for syndergaard

Unreal. Needed that win in fantasy too.

Agreed.

But Clippard has been huge for us. He made a mistake, but its okay. Niese literally has had like 20,000 chances to redeem himself, and honestly if Collins didn't have such a hard on for his vets like Niese or Gee, (who finally got 86'ed,) they would've been demoted quicker than you say, "that ball is hit hard!"

I'm okay with Clippard making a few mistakes here and then. I'd rather he give up those runs to a shitty team like the Braves who literally have absolutely no fire or fight in them, and probably little to zero chances of fighting tooth and nail if we came back with the lead.

Robles, Reed, Gilmartin, Clippard, and a few others I'm forgetting right now has really been a huge plus for us on the bull pen.

Clippard has been shaky the last couple of outings but I still think he's been a good pickup. I was just upset for syndergaard because he can't buy a win on the road and pitched his balls off tonight

I feel you.

Oh well, I always wished Noah could've at least have won 2-3 games which he should've, for the possibility of winning ROY, but alas sometimes it isn't meant to be.

I legit think Wheeler or Noah if they already reach their ceiling could be CY Young caliber type of pitchers. While DeGrom and Harvey certainly could eclipse those achievements, Wheeler and Noah just have some filthy stuff...

Our line-up has been UNREAL since Cespedes joined, it's amazing how quickly things change. Us Mets fans got a lot of shit for saying that Cespedes along with Wright coming back and DarNo coming back would make our line-up A LOT better but it hasn't disappointed.

The Mets are serious serious championship contenders right now

Haven't enjoyed a Mets team like this since 06', and this team might be even more exciting. Who would have thought we would be able to compare our line-up to Reyes, Wright, Delgado, Beltran, Lo Duca, etc... but we can

Is it going to be an 06' rematch? Mets vs Cards in the NLCS...

How dominant has Familia been?

1.66 ERA, with 0.41 ERA since July 31st.

Hes been on fire. Opponets are averaging .191 on right handers, and left handers are averaging .207.

With 40 saves, Familia has been 3rd in the MLB in saves total, and this isn't even accounting for the fact Familia has gotten 10-15 games of rest which he could've pitched.

I think Familia, Clippard, and any mix of Reed, Goddell, and Robles is pretty sick of a bullpen to have.

This bullpen has been on a roll ever since taking on the Washington Nationals in DC. From the first game of that series sweep until now, the Mets bullpen has allowed one run over its last 17.2 innings (0.33 ERA) with 25 strikeouts dating back to September 7. Overall, the Mets pen now ranks eighth in the majors with a 3.19 ERA.

Think about how much better our bullpen would be if we didn't play bums like Parnell or O'Flaherty.
