Contracts to look at are Braun, Tulowitski, Goldschmidt etc. the money per year is lower but it was 2008-2012, but it’s been happening for years. Kind of went away from my original post, Personally I just don’t see it as a steal.

Ya definitely a steal of a deal for Atlanta, hopefully they will take these savings and invest some money into the team instead of Liberty Media going for mass profits.

The announcers during the game were talking about how much security that is for someone's life though and can be hard to turn down even if they are getting the short end of the stick. It's a good point for sure 35 Million is more money than anyone needs.
