Why not just replace pitchers with a machine that throws a strike every time. A batter either puts the ball in play in the first 3 pitches or he's out. Increase the # of fielders to keep batting averages down.

This solves the problem of ball/strikes, speeds up the pace of play AND ensures more action, since most pitches will result in balls put in play.

your exaggerations dont have anything to do with getting calls right, but if thats the direction you want to go, alright

and youre assuming my example i gave was the only example i could use.

and youre also assuming that i said the cardinals were the only ones ruined by the umps.

and youre last statement makes my point. they clearly have decided that human element shouldnt decide games by adding all the replay. at this point, just go all in and get the calls right

at the end of the day yes, just get calls right. Will an auto strike zone happen? probably, I just wouldn't expect it anytime soon.

as a fan of a team who has yadi as a catcher, i realize this dimishes his value and players like him.

i still dont care, i just want the calls right.

i understand there are some old school geezers who need to die off before a vote would pass for this, but im ready for it.

I'm actually not an old school pundit or anything, I could care less if there is or isn't a DH, etc. but I do like the human part of calling balls and strikes. I feel like it adds to the game.

as for yadi, if he's on your team you love him, if he isn't you hate him. dude's been involved in too many altercations for my liking but this one recently was not his fault whatsoever.

i just mean for his pitch framing ability.

even with him being good at it, i still want strikes to be strikes and balls to be balls. im tired of hot head umps not only having no consistency with a strikezone but also getting pissed for people calling em out for it

Hang a tire swing behind home plate. When a batter goes up the plate, let him adjust the height of the tire to his liking.

If the pitch goes through the tire it's a strike, otherwise it's a ball. Same size strike zone for every hitter, no matter how big they are. No more batters crouching over to make their strike zone appear smaller.
