Absolutely ridiculous proposition when there are numerous numbers of other ways to speed up the game.

1. Eliminate warm-up pitches for a pitcher that has been warming up. Easy was to shave a few minutes off especially when a team is going to the pen a lot.
2. Don't let the batters leave the box after every pitch. That would speed the game up substantially.

This rule is just a gimmick though. Same thing with the pitch clock, it's a little ridiculous.

2) they would never be able to get the sign before the pitcher throws.
