I feel like we're witnessing history every time the Cubs fail to win a WS. I equate it to the horse that recently won the Triple Crown: before he won it, there was actually some interest in the races because no horse had won the Triple Crown for decades; now it's completely irrelevant because some horse had just won it all. Cubs winning the WS would take away from the excitement of seeing if they can end their drought every year.
