Also, keep in mind. This year will be the last hold for several players on everyone team in your league.

I'd choose Sano over Bautista even though they're arguably the same player (Bautista probably will drive in more runs in the TOR lineup) but Sano has the edge as you've already protected Bautista twice (meaning you would lose him regardless next year anyways)

Cole
Scherzer
Kluber
Betts

Braun is a question mark due to that back surgery he had and he won't drive in many runs with that pathetic team and would be the last person I would choose to protect.
Sano will be in OF for the Twins and has a much higher ceiling.

Ideally the bolded I would keep for sure

The 5th is really your call if you would want another OF'r (even though they're a dime a dozen to fill) or Tulo

I lean towards Tulo due to the SS scarcity in MLB (although it's getting better with Correa and Seager being called up) but the injuries and him not hitting in Coors anymore worry me; so I went with Sano.

Yea. The way it looks, Cole, sherzer, and betts are almost locks to be kept.

The last 2 spots are up in the air but bautista has such a high OPS every year and scores a shitload of runs and rbis. Tough to beat.

It's looking like my best case scenario is to work out a trade so my decision isn't so hard.

yea, but the fact that theres no penalty for keeping less than 5 players, theres no need for teams with 3 studs and nothing else to move one of their best players in 2 for 1 swap.

its gonna be difficult to find trade partners.

the only one i may be jumping on right now is me trading sherzer for bumgarner straight up. the guy with bum has also kept him twice.

In a keeper league? Where you can't keep scherzer past this year? I'd do that in a heartbeat

im trading sherzer this year for madbum for 3 years

there arent many pitchers out there who id consider to have as good or better of fantasy value as sherzer.

2 that come to mind are jose fernandez and kershaw, both of which were traded last year so their owners can keep them this year and 2 more times.

i think chris sale has been kept by his owner twice. hes the only other one that offers the upside of sherzer.

Oh did not know it was 1 year vs 3 years. Thought just 1 for 1

I've already kept sherzer twice, same with bautista and Braun.

I can only keep them one more time, then after that they become FAs. So the key is to trade em for value, either now, during the season, or after.
