Well he got hurt and in his first full season back hes going to exceed 200 ip (including playoffs) while maintaining a sub 3 era. SOLID return year if you ask anyone who's not ignorant. But lets just say that the 3 starts hes going to miss because of precaution is an indication of a potential fragility....at least give him the following year before making grandiose claims demeaning his work ethic/talent level/ potential. At least give him a year where there are no reliable outside forces telling him to stop playing (his agent and his doctor, as well as sheer history--theres never been a rookie coming off of TJ to exceed 200 ip).

The mets are good. The Phillies are not. Theres nothing to discuss.

Cut the kid a break, it's his first year removed from TJS. Wainwright, one of the best pitchers in the last 10 years, posted a 3.70 era in his first year back from TJS. From that point on he was dominant. Almost every pitcher takes a full season of lumps to get back into form.
