no he wasnt.
Prospect Ratings by Baseball America:
Pre-2009: Rated #48 Prospect
Pre-2010: Rated #15 Prospect
Pre-2011: Rated #4 Prospect
edit: and the reason why he (brown) was ahead of mike trout in 2009 is because trout was drafted in 09 (at age 17), so he only played 44 games that year. and still cracked the top 100 going into the 2010 season at age 18. then was a top 3 prospect in 2011 and 2012
nice try tho.
No bruh, you're so wrong lmao. You think I don't know what I"m talking about with my own player that I've followed closely through the years?
He wasn't ranked #1 BEFORE any season. It was into the 2010 season that he was ranked there after raping the minors all season. But he was ahead of Trout at that point I clearly remember that much. That was the season Brown was eventually called up AS the #1 prospect, and struggled once he was up there but only got 62 AB's. Then was sent back down, and that's where he went to #4 before the 2011 season because some other young studs like Harper & Trout were around still...
It's been a few years, trying to remember the specifics is hard but anyone that paid attention back then would remember that clearly considering all the "#1 prospect in baseball" threads I made on here before and after he was finally called up...
So yes, he was the #1 prospect at one point.
