Kept Clippard in too long?
Two batters? Two walks that combined for 17 pitches? Those are just good at bats. Clippard is damn good, didn't do anything wrong really. Hard to say he was kept in too long... Especially given that Familia came in and didn't do shit

Agree he should've faced one more. Familia already blew one save in game one. Clippard's been solid all year, even in playoffs, and honestly, pitched those two at bats just like he should. If you're up 2-0 in the count, you'd be a fool to keep throwing stuff clearly in the strike zone until about 2-2, especially against the Royals who are better than anybody with two strikes.
I agree with Matz, should have been pulled just a bit earlier, but I also haven't seen him pitch much this year.
Yost also made a boneheaded move putting Duffy in instead of Hochevar though. Duffy just isn't that good... he's better out of the bullpen, but not good. Hochevar is a long man and has been lights out all season.
Clippard has not been solid all year, he's been pretty bad since joining the Mets. We have one of the best closers in baseball, he should have been in earlier.
