Nugget lmao, literally died when i heard him say that.

Yea i guess im a little higher on Reimold then most people. I'm willing to write off last season as a lost season (i know most people would argue i shouldnt). It's a good problem to have honestly, and as long as pie can keep himself in the game, he will play well.

Yeah he will get a shot but I don't think it is now or never with him. I think Felix is a "nugget" in Buck's eyes because he is always hustling (Reimold does too but IDK I just get the feeling that Buck likes Pie).

Reimold didn't do that hot in AAA last year. He had the Achilles recovering as well as the off the field problems with his ex-fiance. I think he could rake in AAA for a month or two with Pie starting in LF and if Pie struggles or gets hurt call him up.

It worked well his rookie year when Pie got extended time. The difference is this time if Pie is struggling you don't keep sticking him out there because we are trying to win, you call Reimold up as long as he is hitting well.

Neither have an edge over each other defensively. Pie is faster and makes more spectacular plays but he fucks up a lot. Reimold is slower and makes more routine plays and has a better arm but he fucks up a lot too.

This makes me wonder if Matt Angle will get a shot. The kid is speedy, great defender, and steals bases, successfully (Unlike Pie most of the time).

Reimold was my favorite player his rookie season. I got his shersey, lol. I am willing to give him a pass on last season too.

Pie has more upside than him though. If Pie puts it together he has all the talent in the world. He was regarded as a 5 tool future superstar at one point.

Reimold has such a good eye though. His power is really underrated. I really thought he would end up being a perfect #2/#3 hitter for us. I still think he can but I think he needs to rake in AAA to get his confidence back before we throw him back out there.

If he plays amazing in Spring Training though I can see him starting in LF.

I'm not very high on Angle. Reminds me of a tony gwyn jr, /cheap peter bourjos mold.

No, Matt Angle isn't ready. At best he is probably going to be a 4th OF that comes in as a defensive sub in the 8th inning if we are winning. Get some starts here and there and hit 9th in the order.

He can get on base good but he didn't do all that great at AAA last year. He will definitely be at AAA to start the year and probably remain there the entire season unless we are hit with a bunch of injuries in the OF.

I saw him play when Norfolk came to Scranton Wilkes Barre to play the Yankees. Went to all 4 games of the series. He is amazingly fast in person.

I saw Angle play at Bowie early in the year. He reminds me of a (somewhat) slower version of Brett Gardner. He won't get you power or anything, but great defense + speed for small ball.

yea angle is basically your speedy OF slap hitter mold.
I doubt he grows into a gardner type (hes kind of the outlier in the group )

If he does grow into the Gardner type, that would be absolutely great. I actually like those type of players.

Catch anything hit within a mile of you, good arm, get on base a lot, steal bases all the time ... there is nothing not to love :D
