The Astros are playing well today. 7-3 lead in the top of the 5th. 13 hits total so far. Easy peesy. Jose Altuve and Matt Dominguez both have hit two-run homers apiece. Of course, in before the bullpen blows it as usual.

All tied up 7-7. Sigh. So predictable. Like the 15th time this season the Astros have blown a big lead with the worst bullpen in baseball.

The Astros pounded out their 18th hit and regained an 11-7 lead in the top of the 7th. Looks like they'll win today but the bullpen will probably cough up the lead again, LOL. Wish they could save some of these hits for the next game.

Why did Jon Singleton have to pick up that RBI single?
Astros are tied 1-1 going into the top of the 10th at Philadelphia
Two really bad teams playing extra innings. I'm still watching it too.

Two outs, nobody on base. Domingo Santana draws a walk on a 3-2 pitch that was on the corners. It's his 22nd birthday against the team that traded him. I'm very surprised he wasn't just swinging for the fences. The kid has 11 strikeouts in 13 at-bats as well. Part of the reason he was sent back to the minors. Hopefully he's a more patient hitter now and will stay up in the big leagues. Santana has some real game if he can just stop swinging at the sliders in the dirt.

George Springer and Dexter Fowler are still on the disabled list but I'm having fun watching Jon Singleton and Domingo Santana. That could be our starting three in the outfield on opening day 2015. Along with Jon Singleton at first base. I don't think Robbie Grossman is going to be a long-term answer in the outfield. He's just not a very good hitter. Domingo Santana has struggled at the plate but 14 at-bats is such a small sample size for a rookie. He has a higher ceiling than Robbie Grossman, nearly 200 at-bats this year and still flirting with a .190 batting average.

Nice to see Dexter Fowler back in the Astros lineup today. He was on the DL for a long time.

I wasted nearly three hours watching the Twins win 3-1 today. At least it was getaway day.
I'm done posting about the Astros until 2015. I'm frustrated with the same type of losing team.

Astros equal their 2013 win total today.
