Stuart doesn't like baseball; if you want to assume he likes the Braves, I'm all for commenting on their behalf.

Dodged a fallacy that cheering for one team means you can't pass judgement on another

i didn't click the next page, why would i give a shit about supporting my team vs another?

you guys posted like it was impressive that people pay so much for a ticket, i pointed out that it's because these people cling to hope that they get to actually see a world series in their lifetime

They have a chance to witness history that is a long time in the making.

If you knew anything about Cubs history you would know they had the worst ownerships in baseball up until they were sold to the Ricketts.

This isn't some once in a lifetime chance that the Cubs are in the world series. This team was built from the ground up to be contenders every year.

The Tribune would have been spending money on 5 years past their prime players, trading top prospects for garbage, etc. For a slim (usually one year) window.

So what happens when you need to sign Bryant, Hendricks, Russell, Schwarber, Baez, etc.. when there's $100M between Lester, Heyward, Montero, Lackey, and Zobrist?
