anyone else see Skaggs' start yesterday?  it was god awful, he looks like Blanton 2.0 just from the left side.

Everything this guy threw was up in the zone literally 90% of the pitches he threw were belt high or above, that goes for his off speed as well as his fastball..

I know it's only spring training but holy shit he looked so damn bad. lmao.

its ST, wouldnt look too much into it.
if thats the case, hamiltons gonna be out the whole season, pujols will bat .100, and ibanez is going to shatter every age 40+ record.

And Ryan Braun is going to hit 70 HR and drive in 200 RBI.

But Skaggs had an era over 5 last year in about 40 innings in the NL aswell.

I'm sure he will be fine, still young.

Spring is a time where most guys are trying out new pitches and seeing what works etc

I wouldn't put much stock into it.

im just being positive, he'll probably be another joe saunders tho.
4ish ERA, innings eater.

if weaver and CJ do what they're supposed to, and richards is solid, skaggs and santiago could give 150 IP and 4 ERA's each and it will still be a massive improvement

yeah, I saw that. I was actually pretty surprised by his start today. and Santiago has looked really good so far, hopefully it keeps up during the regular season.

The joe blantar nightmare is finally over, he got his walking papers a day or 2 ago. tfg. people talk about our bad signings, 2 years and 16m of that bum was one of the worst.

As a Doyers fan I knew Blanton sucked and would be a bad pickup for you guys, especially when you consider his going from the fucking NL West to the AL, but I didn't think it'd be that bad haha, at one point I saw him coming out of the bullpen....

Good to see they finally got rid of him.
