Who's Hot?
Julio Teheran RHP, Gwinnett Braves - 2-0, 15 IP, 3 ER, 9 H, 0 BB, 12 K - Teheran picked up his second International League Player of the Week award this week, and rightfully so with his 2 win, 1.80 ERA, 0.60 WHIP, walkless performance. He hasn't walked anyone in his last 4 starts and has dominated in June, with a 4-0 record, 1.00 ERA, 0.61 WHIP, 5 H/9, 0.5 BB/9, 7.8 K/9, and 15.5 K/BB.
Stefan Gartrell RF, Gwinnett Braves - 9-27, 2B, 3 HR, 8 RBI, BB - Gartrell has been a poweful force in the middle of Gwinnett's lineup since the Braves acquired him in early April, and this week was one of his best performances, as he put up a .333/.357/.704/1.061 slash line.
Ernesto Mejia 1B, Mississippi Braves - 8-13, 2B, 2 HR, 6 RBI, BB - The Braves reacquired Mejia in the offseason to serve as a veteran force in their AA lineup, and he's certainly done that job with aplomb, leading the team in all slugging categories. Even though he was only able to play in 4 games because of the Southern League All-Star break, this was still his best week of the season, with a .615/.643/1.154/1.797 slash line.
Troy Snitker C, GCL Braves - 6-16, 2 2B, 2 HR, 5 RBI, 2 BB - The son of Atlanta third base coach Brian Snitker was selected by the Braves in the 19th round of the draft earlier in the month, and he got his career off to a great start, knocking 4 of his 6 hits for extra bases and putting up a gaudy .375/.421/.875/1.296 slash line.
maybe snitkers kid aint bad
