Vargas getting fucking roasted. Unbelievable...

Well.... I didn't think the team was good as it was, but at least DeGrom isn't injured.

Sigh...

I like the Braves though, I've been following them closely this year since Nationals somehow managed to pull out the signature Mets choking theme. Plus I like Freeman, he's a humble guy, signed my little cousin's hat in the pouring rain during that postponed game against the Mets.

I haven't even had a chance to see Vargas pitch, but my god, 6 runs in 3 innings? Just terrible.

This is what I would do...
START PLAYING FUCKING NIMMO. GOD DAMNIT. THEY KEEP BENCHING HIM, AND WHEN THE FLYING FUCK IS JAY BRUCE FINALLY GOING TO THE 1ST, BECAUSE NIMMO SHOULDN'T NOT BE SEEING ANY FUCKING MINUTES!

/End rant

Callaway can't really do much with this shit storm of a roster, but my god, not only are our hitters in a slump. But the entire Fab Five minus Wheeler, Thor and DeGrom look absolutely cooked and not confident in their ability to pitch.

The problem is we keep having this fucking narrative that they need to be the new great thing.. We just need them to be solid pitchers. I'm still high on Wheeler, and Matz. But I believe in the future Oswalt, will have a Thor-like resurgence.

That being said... Why can't we bring in R.A. Dickey? Man, he would be perfect for our troubled pitchers.

His lineup today had me fucking baffled... Like come on dude, I know you're new, but he isn't even playing one of our hottest hitters, and we might as well trade him if we're not gonna give him the minutes he needs.

I’d be willing to bring back Bartolo he was good for the young guys

True, but R.A. Dickey holds so much nostalgic piece of my soul in me. We gave him up, but at least we got back Thor.

Quote
Dickey finished last year with a 10-10 record and 4.26 ERA and has averaged 32 starts per year over the last eight years, making him one of the most durable pitchers the league has seen in a long time. He is now 43 years old though and perhaps has just had enough.

Dickey said there is only one team that he would come back to forego his retirement, and it's the Mets.

Oh man, oh man, when I read that I cried a little :(

Bartolo would also be a solid piece, but he's loving it up in there apparently. Says the fans treats him well, and he gets to pitch whenever he wants.
