Trade just makes no sense at all
Why not just keep Shane and cash?

As long as they stay in AAA i'm happy. Kelly should be sent back down after today.

He's a decent utility infielder and the Red Sox need one as now they have to play Holt at 2nd everyday.. and the cash was just to balance out the deal.

Boston basically wanted him out so they could call up Castillo and Victorino was wasting a spot on the 40 man roster since he's not versatile to play the infield.

Better than getting nothing in return at least you get a utility infielder back while Pedroia is out.

what good was victorino doing for you guys anyways? he was creating a log jam in the OF that could be used in an attempt to better develop prospects.

not to mention he was hurt all the fucking time. rutledge has decent tools if he can put it together and i dont think the cash is a big deal at all.
