Their offense ran out of gas since that disgustingly impressive streak. But yes, 1 run isn't going to cut it against any team, let alone the Jays.

yea, our pitching has been phenomenal, both from the bullpen and starters.

doesnt change the fact the cardinals have an average-ish offense and a putrid bench.

two of our bench players are tony cruz and pete kozma, potentially 2 of the single worst offensive players players at their positions.

Box Score doesn't reflect how good Nova actually pitched, sad to see. Was making Bautista and EE off-balanced all game with that curve. Just had some control issues late and gave up a meatball to Smoak. The offense really needs to wake the fuck up though, we'll see how Tanak does today.

That was all on Girardi. Nova looked absolutely gassed at that point(11 of 14 pitches prior to Smoak AB were ballz). Warren came in after the grand slam and struck out the two batters he faced...

Joe has made some awful managerial decisions in this series so far. Still can't get over him bringing in Pinder in game 1 when a) Miller only threw 6 pitches and b ) Warren was available to pitch multiple innings. He keeps managing for the next game when the game in front of him is still in reach.

Yeah, he was definitely to blame there no doubt considering Nova's pitch count was extremely high compared to his past starts after TJ. It doesn't help though that the offense has been anemic since that streak.
