16 years ago (May 6, 1998): Kerry Wood struck out 20 Astros and our lineup was pretty stacked that year.

The Astros went 102-60 that year in 1998. That was a franchise best record for a season.

Jered Weaver isn't that dominating tonight. He's given up a home run to Springer and double to Castro

2-1 lead for Weaver in the middle of the 7th. Only 4 Ks. Two hits allowed. He's been good but I've seen better.

I mean, we have only three MLB caliber hitters: Altuve, Springer and Castro. Our Triple-A lineup for Oklahoma City is better.

I want to release Chris Carter soon. He's starting to make my stomach hurt watching him play every game.

He's pitching a great game but dominating to me is no-hit, perfect game type of stuff. Or even double-digit strikeouts.

Astros have hit another four outs pretty hard that the Angels fielders made great plays on.

lol man... weaver has carved up some teams in his time, but only throwing 74 pitched thru 7? thats a new one to me..
he could go 12 if he gave up another mistake at this point.

I blame the Astros hitters. They are not working the counts but they had the right game plan swinging early because Weaver throws a high percentage of first and second-pitch strikes. That's probably the best pitches they had to hit in the at-bats. If not for the solo home run by Pujols or the bloop RBI single by Aybar, the Astros would be in position to possibly win. As it is they're only down 2-1 going to the top of the 8th.

i can easily retort that if he didnt hang a curve to springer this would be a no-hitter, or 1 hitter.
he has just been dominating u guys all night. we'll see how this inning pans out tho

We're going to lose 2-1 probably. But we have the top of our order due up in the top of the ninth.
