ugh just imagine if they resigned KRob too.. I can only fantasize about that bullpen now

Meh, K-Rob was great but our bullpen is more than good, it's the best in the AL East.
I was so impressed with Pineda's outting last night, watching him with that buckling slider and the movement on his two seamer was amazing.

And DeGrom had been filthy up into he faced the Teixecutioner. Hoping CC can repeat his last outing but with better run support.

Still not sold on him. But I can't complain, CC, Tanaka, and Pineda have been solid so far. Health is still our biggest threat.

Also loving that A-Rod OBP.

Forget the slider and fastball, his changeup was untouchable last night. CC even said that the changeup might be Big Mike's best pitch now and I have a hard time disagreeing with him. At its peak his changeup has everything-- arm speed, insane fade, consistent arm slot, and the mph difference. Very exciting.

This is an example of a peak Big Mike changeup. Dat fade, started almost middle in and ended up in the other batters box.

Jocob Lindgren could be that type of guy once he gets called up. I feel like the only reason they haven't called him up already is because of the idea of having 4 lefties in the pen. Which is silly since all 4 guys(Shreve, Miller, Wilson and Lindgren) can get out LHB and RHB. Lingren is basically toiling away at AAA at this point; he has nothing left to prove there. "Lindgren has struck out 42.1% of batters faced with an 84% ground ball rate in 32.2 innings since signing last year. He’s faced 36 batters in Triple-A this year — eleven have struck out and 19 others hit the ball on the ground. Exactly 80% of the batters he’s faced as a pro have either struck out or hit a grounder. Total domination."

Team has really been flashing the leather of late. Glad they put that early season defensive slump behind them. Headley especially has been a vacuum at 3B.

CC's inconsistency is just shit. Go up against Detroit and literally shuts down arguably the best offensive lineup in all of baseball and goes and gives up 5 ER against a Met's offense that doesn't scare me in the last...

That's just what he is nowadays. The last 2 years weren't a fluke, it's just gonna have to be accepted that CC is a 3/4 today.
