I want to see a list of free agents for this upcoming winter already, and Craig Biggio better make the next hall of fame class.

He's made some amazing defensive plays in this series. He should garner some consideration for the gold glove award for second base in the AL for 2014, but of course Robinson Cano will probably win it. He won it in 2010 and 2012 anyways. Dustin Pedroia won it in 2011 and 2013. Altuve has never won the Rawlings gold glove award before even when he made the all-star team in the NL a few years ago.

Third hit of the night for Jose Altuve. Hitting .365 in May with 10 multi-hit games this month.
It came with two outs in the top of the 9th. In a game we're going to lose 9-3. Only bright spot.
Edit: Actually it's his 10th multi-hit game in May. I wasn't looking at tonight's game or last night's game.

Jose Altuve has been hitting like a machine in May. And Dallas Keuchel is pitching like an all-star. Only two bright spots.
And I need sleep. Making too many typos at 12:44 AM here in Houston. The game just ended. I stayed up to see it all.

got weaver tmw, and he has his shit together.
if skaggs did what he did to them tonight, weaver is going to look like a stud tmw.

The Astros have a pretty good top of the order but without some thunder in the middle of the lineup it's hard to compete in the American League. We have some sluggers at Triple-A that are on the Astros 40-man roster just waiting for the call up any day now, Singleton and Santana, most notably.

I expect our lineup to eventually look like this before the 2014 season is over or going into 2015

2B - Jose Altuve
RF - George Springer
LF - Domingo Santana
1B - Jon Singleton
C - Jason Castro
3B - Matt Dominguez
DH - Chris Carter
CF - Dexter Fowler
SS - Jonathan Villar

Our lineup tonight by contrast: Pretty dismal when we have to DH an all-star catcher and play Carter, an error machine at first base as well.

1. Jose Altuve (R) 2B
2. George Springer (R) RF
3. Dexter Fowler (S) CF
4. Jason Castro (L) DH
5. Matt Dominguez (R) 3B
6. Chris Carter (R) 1B
7. Jesus Guzman (R) LF
8. Carlos Corporan (S) C
9. Jonathan Villar (S) SS

Top shortstop prospect Carlos Correa hasn't even turned 20 years old yet. He's about to get the call up to Double-A after dominating Single-A
He's not on the 40-man roster yet so a call up this season isn't happening. I doubt he'll be called up in 2015. I'm thinking 2016 for him.

I also want to see the Astros sign a legitimate DH this winter. I've seen enough of Chris Carter and his .193 batting average with tons of strikeouts.
