I'm talking about signing him to a multi-year deal. 3 or 4 years. The Astros have tons of money to spend. They finished second in the bidding for Jose Abreu but the White Sox were able to snag him in the past off-season. One of the drawbacks to potentially signing Kendrys Morales this past winter would have been the Astros would have owed the Mariners their first overall pick in the second round, of the upcoming draft in two weeks, as compensation.
no way morales would sign a multi year deal with the stros almost 3 months into the season when u guys have been a 100+ loss team for X amount of years..
if he turned down a qualifying offer from the M's, hes obv looking for something good on a good team. no offense, but i dont see u guys even making the playoffs for like 3 years. and it would be foolish for u guys, or anyone, to sign him longer than 3 years anyways.
edit: also, who signs a guy to a 3-4 year deal (after a freak injury that took 1.5 years of his career), and that hasnt played all season? thats a huge risk.
