So Tulo was at the Yankees game today.  Probably doesn't mean anything but damn, can we keep him?

Probably really going to piss off Colorado too considering that the Rockies play today and Tulo is on the DL.

Tulo definitely wants to be in pinstripes BUT the Yankees obviously can't offer the same as some other teams.

Not right now, maybe. By next season they very well might. Luis Severino has established himself as one of the top pitching prospects in all of baseball and Aaron Judge has done nothing but hit since being drafted. Those two guys might find themselves in the top 25 of most prospect lists at this point next season. Severino and Judge are both already top 50 guys by most accounts. That's not including Gary Sanchez who was already a top 50 guy.

He's seeing a specialist in Philly. Doesn't explain why he's at the game though lol.

Even so, a team like the Cardinals or Mets could definitely throw together a better offer (If they wanted to take on the contract).

He definitely wants to be in a Yankees uniform though, but across the city ain't a bad 2nd option ;)

Depends if the Cardinals are willing to let go of Tavares. Their farm isn't as loaded as it was a few years ago. With Allen Craig declining for the 3rd straight year, they have an actual need for Tavares in the OF. Outside of Tavares, the Yankees can definitely match the Cardinals in a deal.

Oh yeah agree with this. I don't think the Cards would move Tavares either.

But the Mets could for sure outbid you guys. But SA/Ownership is very cheap.

I don't think we have enough to trade for him right now but he's one of the guys I would unload the farm for. I wouldn't be mad if we traded for Rollins in the offseason. Get Rollins on a 1/$11m deal >>>>>> giving multi-year deals to Lowrie, Hardy, Hanley, Asdrubal, etc.

Unfortunately, we love giving multi-year deals to old/declining players

:P

And I'd unload my left nut for Tulo.

I have a very good feeling that Hanley will be in a Yankees uniform next season
