Phelps is dat dude. He has really stepped up this season and become basically what we all hoped Ivan Nova would be.

Weird you would think the pitching staff would have shit the bed and not the offense but it's the opposite right now.

McCarthy was solid in his first start, Greene has been amazing, Phelps has been awesome, Whitley has been solid, and Kuroda seems to be coming around.

Really hoping to see McCann really get going. Outside of Gardner/Ellsbury/Jeter 123, the offense is horrible. Ichiro seems to be shitting the bed too.

Ichiro just made the hardest contact he's hit in months and the ball didn't even reach the warning track. It's time the Yankees either bring in a real RF or give Zoilo Almonte a legitimate opportunity to earn some AB's.

I'm not sold on Whitley at all but Kuroda has been quietly awesome for well over a month now(3.10 ERA over his last 9 starts). I think a rotation of HIROK/McCarthy/Phelps/Greene/Whitley will suffice for now but man, another mid/top of the rotation guy would look great in there. Yankees don't stand a chance in the playoffs anyways if they don't get TANAK back.

They don't stand a chance even if Tanak comes back with this offense. Teixeira with a lat pull... hopefully he doesn't hit the DL. Not really a fan of the Headley trade as I would have been years ago when he wasn't injury prone and hitting well in PETCO. Out of all the pitchers though, I love Greene. The slider/two seamer combination has been lethal and he has shown he can pitch well with RISP. But this offense is just horrid to watch right now.
