Well I agree with that, I mean players fall off all the time.

Herrera doesn't look at all like a fluke though...last year he was a rookie, and after the All-Star break (234 At-Bats) he got on base around a .400 clip as a ROOKIE. He hit .300 AVG as a rookie on the season too.

This year he came into the season looking even better, and not only that but he has already drawn more walks this season (31) through 43 games than he did all of last season (28) through 147 games.

His plate discipline is unreal, he was such a diamond in the rough for the Phillies. A rule 5 draft pick.

Sure, he'll hit rough patches but I think in general we're seeing a player that is going to get on base at a high rate and makes for a nice piece to build with.

I think his point exactly was that the fact that he has walked more in 1/4 as many games shows a huge discrepancy, either last season was bad or this season is good, and it'll even out one way or the other.

I hope he ends up being a stud and the Phillies sniff the playoffs in the next couple years, pls sum Rays Phillies world serious

Welp, the crash back to earth is official.

26-26

2-8 in their last 10 games.

Just need to survive the rough patch and then get back on track, kind of expect these periods but hopefully they can rally and get back to winning more games.

lets be honest here. we enjoyed the winning, but we knew it wasnt going to last lol.

this team isnt good enough to make the wild card.

they were like 7 games over .500 with a -30 run differential. thats never happened in mlb history.

they are young, hungry, and fun to watch.

I mean even in the middle of their hot run to start the season, I said they'd be lucky to finish at .500

I'd be happy with 75 wins honestly. A .500 season would be a major success. That would put them way ahead of the track for their rebuild, as they've already shown some very nice bright spots.

The offense isn't fun to watch though lol. Not at all, it's horrible. Can't wait till we get these guys called up to get some help. The big Free Agent signings will come in the future years.
