Not a small sample size with Kershaw he's 1-6 in the playoffs.

He's the one bringing up meaningless stats when his team lost when Kershaw pitched.

The only thing that matters in the postseason is wins.

Dude this year is Arrieta's season man but overall Kershaw is better due to his past accomplishments.

But you guys are once again bringing up win/loss record like that means anything at all

Kershaw has never had the luxury of an offense that could hit 6 homers behind him when he didn't have his good stuff.

Team wins and losses matter, but a pitchers record doesn't. It's not kershaws fault that he's the best hitter on days when he starts.

Kershaw hasn't had the luxury of an offense? Were you not watching any of the Cardinals game last year or the year before that; or even against the Phillies. He's had plenty of run support and leads.. or he got pounded to the point where they were so far out of it by the time he left the game that it didn't matter what the offense did.

He had that one game, game 1 last postseason

In game 4, on 3 days rest when he threw like 260 innings during the regular season, he was cruising through the cardinal lineup until he ran into matt "I can't hit lefties for anything" Adams.

La scored 2 runs that day. What it Chicago scored 2 runs yesterday? Would we then be calling arrieta a choke artist?

Pitcher's pitch to how close the game is. With a bigger lead you don't want to walk anyone and you "limit" the damage so you may give up a run or an extra base and sacrifice your era.

The pitchers job is to win. If you get an L you didn't do your job.

You can think that all you want. The blue jays didn't use the pitcher with the most wins for them this postseason because he sucks.

Lester pitched damn well this year with a shitty record. Same with kluber, hamels, and Shelby Miller.

It's like the 100th most important stat when valuing a pitcher, and for good reason.
