10/21/98: Yankees pitcher Andy Pettitte throws 7 1/3 innings of shutout ball against the Padres as the Yankees go on to win the series



That was the year we had Randy Johnson dominating in the second half and had a franchise best 102-60 record. And still Kevin Brown and the Padres beat us in the NLDS. But I was glad when the Yankees beat the Padres in the 1998 World Series. Andy Pettitte was awesome as usual.

I don't really see the snow. It must have been ice cold in that game. LOL

I just can't see this Yankees team without Robby, I want him to be the face of the franchise after Jeter retires.

agreed.. I really don't wanna lose him but he's already 30. IMO anything more than 6 is gonna be tough to swallow.


I wish he had Pedroia's mindset and would take a hometown discount.. lol. Not many guys like that though, unfortunately

Definitely wish he had that mindset, which scares me that he may not want to return to New York, he should sign with the Angels and have them pay him 8-180 and still not make the playoffs again... LOL

I agree anything more than 6 I say let him walk, but let's face it, he isn't looking for anything close to 6.
