Was thinking about purchasing a new iPOD since mine is only a 16GB and i had ~26GB of music and then as I was searching through my closet, I found my old 30GB 6th gen iPOD that broke a long time ago. I thought, "Fuck it, it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot.". I plugged it in and it wouldn't catch a charge. Messed around with a few different cables and it finally started charging. Gave it a full restore and now I saved my self $100
